>I chanced upon this book at my sister’s place in Kolkata. On inquiring, I found that my brother had left it at her place while shifting places for his job. Now, my brother is not much of a reader and that he was interested in this particular book intrigued me. More over, the past tense in the title of the book made me curious. I was sure, it was going to be an easy read. It is the debut novel of the author, Ravinder Singh. I borrowed this book from my sister and finished it in two sittings!

The author tells his love story through this book. It has a tragic end, which explains the past tense of the title. It is the love story of Ravin and Khushi. The author tells how he met the girl of her dreams and how their love bloomed. But, things doesn’t happen as he had thought as destiny had other plans for them. Giving out more about the story would not do justice to any aspiring readers. So, read the book to find out more. Having said that,I must add that if you are looking for a literary piece than it’s not one. If you are looking for a meticulously crafted plot in the story, it doesn’t have one. What catches your attention in this book, is the simplicity of the book and the honesty with which the author has written it, and that this story is based on his own love story makes you empathize with the author for having gone through a difficult patch in life.

The story is plainly written yet beautifully executed. All emotions conveyed through the story are delivered. It is indeed a touching love story and it did struck a chord in my heart.

It is the kind of book I would prefer when I am in a mood for a light read.

The author has put his heart and soul in writing this book.It will stay in your mind long after you have read it.

    Really an emotional book....It made me cry and i was so vry engrossed in it frm the vry frst page that had no tym to gv a pause for the second sitting....read it at one go in jus 6 hours!!!!Bt would suggest all the likers, do go for ita sequel- Can love happen twice? Its olso a wonderful one....A Must Read for ol the lovers!!!

    This book is jus awesom,, the story is really a heart touching story as d end is really very sad. It can be easily seen that Ravinder singh wrote this story from d bottom of his heart in d memory of khushi,, it feels very sad for him.

    A heart touching national best seller _i too had a love story_ and its successor _can love happen twice_ are the best books I had ever read till date.......     Made me cry, truely heartbreaking and story, wait! not a story but a real life incident...it made me realise all love stories dont have a happy ending always...i can be tragic 2..! i will love to read and again this book but i hate to read that last part when khushi dies! :( by the way very good job by ravin..loved it!     I think its the 12th day of completing the story and I am still not in my usual condition,Earlier I was having a mentality of thinking all these love and all as nonsence ,,But now the story has changed my perception......Heads of Ravin......Its was amazing reading your literature.The Dummy Character which has created in my mind about KHUSHI has affected too much and I am thinking that can a girl be so much caring and the tuning between the two can be so much effective.....I want that dummy characer for Whole of my Life.....

    This book changed the complete perception about love in my life. I have read many books in my past but none makes me cry like this book. When i was gone through the pages after "The Unexpected" chapter tears started rolling on my cheeks without my awareness. I don't know how much time i read this book but still i want to read more and more times. Thanks a lot to Mr.Ravin to gave such a wonderful real tale from his life.

    the story is totally related to a person who have total lost in her love and even very heart touching once. it contains a mixed feelings of happiness and sadness. the character "KHUSHI" IS THE ONE, that a boy need in his life as a lifepartner and every girl wants the same kind of boy as "RAVIN" to take care of them...... ITS REALLY A GREAT TRIBUTE THAT I EVER READ..........
