Opening line: Clorinda exhaled heavily and watched as the taut strands cut her breath into thin slices.
South of Center is a journey of lives interwoven. A journey with a comical touch. Even the most planned route, can fail and to believe so, read this book of sorts where Clorinda weaves dresses of left over clothes.
She recycles them. Her art is inspired by Sr Ortega’s (a poor miner’s son who redefines history).
I found this story pretty amusing, different and refreshing. With a touch of magic realism, the story goes leaps and bounds beyond are imagination. The characters in the book are well connected.
Although I could not connect with most part of it, yet I enjoyed the book.
It was like a foreign trip for me. Relishing the moving images and the scenes created.
Read the book to know more about the unique journey.
